Suicidal: A Despicable Act?

i think people who commit suicide and succeeding it are pathetic. not to mention those who tried but failed to do so. i'm not mocking them, neither am i interested to hear their sorrows, the rage, the pain because their purpose are similar: to die.

suicidal is a despicable act, such that we did not only lost someone we love, we also lost a precious life. we exist for a reason, and that is to live a fulfilling and happy life. nevertheless, we do come across negativity: miseries, tragedies, obstacles...but every problems come with answers. (well most of it, unless you're talking about nasty math problems)

despite whatever reason, suicidal isn't the way to solve problems. all thanks to you, the problem goes to another person. who knows the problem you thought will be solved after you ending your life might just be passed on and on and on. trust me it'll still haunt you even if you're no longer around. all that guilt and shame, can you really live with it?

or it might be some love/family/money issue you're facing. if it's love, go find your family. if it's family, find your friends. if it's your friends, find your family. if it's money, earn more money and solve the issue. as cliche it might sound, i don't see a reason dying over a person or an unsolvable issue.

people commit suicide because they feel the pain, they felt that it's the end, they're guilt-ridden...blah. however in my honest opinion, people commit suicide because they're just plain lazy. well, think about it, they don't want more stress, they don't want pain, they don't want obstacles happening...they don't want everything!!! (okay maybe the exception for money)

slap your face and wake up. this is life, fuck it, live with it and overcome it. dying just makes you look like an idiot (oh wait, you're dead already does it even matter anyway?)

just live for your last breath, for your friends, your family, for love...even your teddy bear! at the end of the day, you'll know it's worth it.

PS: i have no idea if you know where i'm coming. food for thoughts.

this post is dedicated to kitson, my online friend of nearly 7 years counting - but for the day, throw it out of the window and celebrate, and as the year melts away bid a tearful farewell to old memories and face the new year with warm smiles and happy faces.

My Worst Date(s) Ever

i might not wanna date anyone anymore.

you can never believe the worst dates i have ever went to and they were such torture, i did not even mention the horrific tragedies to my best friends about it. but anyways i took up the courage today (like after 5 years) and i'm going to revealed whatever that had happened to me! i'm dedicating this entries to my great friends, miss sam, mr. tan, miss ave, miss alicia and mr. joe.

i am never picky about my dates; it doesn't matter if they're dwarfish, giants, lardy, bony, dashing, fugly...etc, because i don't think i'm that hot or good looking myself. most dates i went for were coffee sessions, so we'd hang around in coffee joints and chat about daily lives and other conversational subjects that i could barely remember. anyhows, may i now present you the worst dates ever.

worst date #1: we gave the movie a miss because Date #1 bought NC16 movie tickets and i'm under 16. so eventually we ended up going up and down the escalator and strolled around the building in circles (like idiots). we ended our day saying bye and never met up ever again.

worst date #2: Date #2 knew it was my birthday, he gave me a really huge milk bottle with some cheapskate candies in it (it's the thoughts that count). he then took me to some unknown LAN shop in town, taught me how to play some boring game and treated me to instant noodles. i tried appreciating, but it was too "extreme" for me to accept it. we never met again until...

3 years later, we ended up in the same school studying the exact same course. oh my god! (this is not meant to be dramatic and please don't give me the bullcrap telling me it's fated) i said hello once and ignored him the rest of my education years.

i guess having the right date, at the right time is important. good communication, needless to say is one of the most common yet important factors in dating. like i've said it doesn't matter how you look, taking the initiative to dress up is a bonus, looking confident is another. dating does not mean you can't date other guys/ladies. dating is not flirting (unless you want to). i date to seek for great conversations and coffee companions. *wide grin*

that was so 3 years ago, i guess let's just move on and i'm a hopeful hoping the next date i go out with is a date to remember (in a good way of course) !!! now somebody, date me!

The Mission: Fight To Save Narnia

The sequel of the movie that i have been waiting ever since it's debut, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe has finally returned!

You know the Heroes' way of saying "Save the cheerleader, Save the world" is very similar to the saying of the much anticipated movie, Narnia's Prince Caspian - "Save the Prince, Save Narnia"

Watching the trailer itself does not bring enough justice, that's only 1% of the entire show! One can never get enough of The Chronicles of Narnia for it's adventurous, exciting, magical journey to save the world by fighting off evil. Not to mention the breathtaking sceneries and the awesome graphics.

I want to watch this movie badly with my sister, as we both caught the first chapter in The Chronicles of Narnia together two years ago. As movie junkies, we both clearly know there will be another coming soon to feed our hunger for another fantasying, wonderful and exciting journey with Aslan, the lion, the Pevensie children and of course, the new character of the story, Prince Caspian.

It's not just a movie for the kids, tag your friends, your families...everyone should watch it!

American Idol Season 7 Top 3 Review

tonight, the contestants will perform three songs choices which consisted of the judges’, the contestants’ themselves and the producers’.

apparently the judges and producers definitely know how to choose the appropriate songs, leaving the contestants completely clueless about song choices, which eventually didn't turn out what i expected it to be...i'll explain that in a later bit.

it was down to the top 3, and who's gonna pimp the night? Hint: one of the David(s)

David Archuleta was the first, he sang:
  1. Paula Abdul's choice: “And So It Goes“
  2. David’s choice: “With You“
  3. Producers’ choice: “Longer“
it was expected for David to be singing ballads, AGAIN...i mean can you imagine David Archuleta's brand new album with 90% consisting of ballads? kill me! in a whole, David did okay in the first round, tried too hard in the next and put me to sleep on the third. if you did notice every single line in David's "With You", he almost forgot his lyrics! but he scraped through anyways. David Archuleta might have the strongest and most beautiful vocals you have heard in Idol history but he proved us tonight that he isn't versatile enough to carry out a R&B song.

Syesha Mercado's songs are:
  1. Randy Jackson's choice: “If I Ain’t Got You”
  2. Syesha’s choice: “Fever“
  3. Producers’ choice: “Hit Me Up”
Syesha started with Alicia Key's "If I Ain't Got You" and it was no surprise she hit her notes and did a great job! then, she did rhythm and blues with the song "Fever" by Peggy Lee which i thought was sexy but cabaret. Syesha's last song was utterly dreadful! that Happy Feet song "Hit Me Up"? more like "Kill Me Please"! nonetheless, Syesha demonstrated proficiency in three completely different genres that awe struck me.

Pimped all the way was David Cook! he performed:
  1. Simon Cowell’s choice: “First Time Ever I Saw Your Face”
  2. David’s choice: “Dare You To Move”
  3. Producers’ choice: “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing”
it was rumoured whoever that sings Simon's choice wins the competition. anyhows, David Cook did an okay rendition of "First Time Ever I Saw Your Face", it wasn't impactful but nevertheless it's good. when it was announced that David is going to sing "Dare You To Move" by Switchfoot, my ears sprung and my eyes widened (no exaggeration) because that's one of my favourite songs ever! it sounded average (i thought i'd love it but it turns out to be...v_v) and apparently, wasn't the judges favourite. David closed the show with Aerosmith's "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" and it was awesome! i loved the arrangement where the violinists started playing with David scoring the best performance of the night.

IMHO, the best of each round:
  • Round 1: David Archuleta
  • Round 2: Syecha Mercado
  • Round 3: David Cook
it might look even, but the results are pretty obvious.

who's going home tomorrow? i guess we all know who. anyways, it was a fairly lackluster show that will likely make the American Idol final two look exactly like the final two we've been expecting for weeks.

what say you? leave comments!

Ad Removed?!

at aproximately 2-???a.m earlier this morning, i visited my blog for my tagboard updates when i realised my advertisement gone. i hurriedly open a new tab and checked my e-mail to ensure my advertisement wasn't being rejected by the advertiser. i logged into Nuffnang to check for any updates or errors, but there wasn't any report of advertisement removals..or cranky networks.

i felt a little disappointed as i thought that the advertiser rejected their advertisement in my blog. however i thought to myself "one man's loss is another man's treasure", and there are many other opportunities from Nuffnang to me. of course, i'll improve on my writing skills and treated this incident as a lesson learned. i let it pass and continued watching ANTM (America's Next Top Model Cycle 10)

this afternoon i wanted to blog about the baking session my sister and i had when i realised my ad being restored! i continued the similar cycle i did last night and i'm relieved! HK also tagged me asking where my advertisement was, because his was gone too. now i'm glad it's back, hopefully, nothing like this will happen again! :__)

Raffles Place Ghost!

CAUTION: NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED.

your eyes aren't telling lies.

a few minutes ago, the news reported that a video was posted in youtube showing a circuit video of 2 men entering a lift, when they left the lift, there's a disturbing scene. yes, you're right, a ghost appeared out of no where. my sis, being a paranoia told me to watch the footage in youtube instead of the news, so i've got no choice but to drag my ass to the computer and check it out for myself.

then to my surprise the long waited 1.49mins footage played right before my eyes and i thought it was some kind of a joke. i must say, whoever did that made the video look convincing enough despite my doubt for the existence of ghosts.

and the moment of truth is...i guess i'll let the video speak for its own.

great marketing strategy.

guess after my holiday in Australia, i might take a trip down to check out this awesome HR consultancy, GMP Group. what a great, witty publicity stunt!!! me like! :)
